If I want the colour effect to last for just a few washes, I use either the semi or the demi permanent method in which case I leave the colour on for only 25 to 30 minutes.
For very solid grey coverage, it may need longer, sort of 40 to 50 minutes and really really stubborn grey hairs, I would leave on for 60 minutes. Don’t forget, always cover the head with the plastic cap provided.
