Top hairdresser and salon owner Daniel Field was one of the early pioneers of organic and mineral hairdressing. Daniel was the first professional hairdresser to ban animal-tested products from his salons. Daniel Field products are animal ingredient free and ideal for vegans. Caring for the environment, Daniel was one of the original founders of the Ark Environmental Foundation and for many years, its chair.

As well as promoting the philosophy of sustainable consumption around the world, Daniel has adopted a policy of best practice for the elimination of toxins in all his haircare products.

Adopted by various retail chains over the years, Daniel’s products have gained a wide audience and have grown in popularity. Nowadays, with the popularity and convenience of “home shopping”, our policy has been to reduce our presence in the High Street in favour of mail order, where Daniel’s original recipes can still be found, away from the retail hype and glitz that is always demanding something “new”. Our main business comes from our own customers, who reorder regularly through our efficient and friendly mail order service, or through recommendation by friends or relatives. Janey Lee Grace was also kind enough to recommend Daniel’s products in her book published in 2006, “Imperfectly Natural Woman” thus introducing many more devotees to the Daniel Field philosophy.

Hello, I wasn't sure if I should send a thank you email to this address but I just had to say how much I love your products!

I used to colour my hair blonde, have done for years. Last year, my hair colour product changed and I consequently lost hair due to breakage. I was having to put the product on more frequently and this lead to my hair breaking. I also became vegan and half my hair fell out!!! I was not having a good time!

I found your products online. I wanted something not tested on animals, which is very important to me. I have sorted out the vegan diet as I was lacking in certain minerals and vits.

I have coloured my hair with water colours and the result is great! I am trying to grow out the awful bleach and water colours has toned it down so I am no longer two tone. My normal hair colour is dark ash blonde and I went with this colour. I am also going grey now. I am 45years old and just turning grey now. I have also used your volumising shampoo and leave in conditioner. I am so happy that I have a chance now to have nice hair again.
